A rare and astonishingly beautiful French Art Noveau design album based on the butterflies of the world, featuring eighty-one scientific renderings of different species, followed by sixteen ornamental compositions. Eugene Alain Séguy (1889-1985) was a leading French designer of the Art Noveau and Art Deco. He had an acute interest in scientific study of insects, and utilised this knowledge to produce this album of brilliant set of butterfly designs, one of the best examples of Art Deco compositions.
